N O M A D was established in May 2008 with the opening of the first Belgian gallery to showcase and represent emerging artists from the African continent and the Diaspora. After travelling widely throughout the African continent for over 15 years, Walter De Weerdt and the Brussels gallery are now sharing their experience in Contemporary African Art. N O M A D also promotes artists who engage in a dialogue with the African context. From the time the gallery opened the program has consisted of twenty public exhibitions to date including solo and group shows, bringing more than thirty artists, most of them for a first time, to show in Brussels. Located downtown nearby other prominent galleries and shops. In this year 2015 N O M A D is open by appointment only. Feel free to contact us for more information. Here’s where we’re located.
